christmas

so it's been a few days since christmas. i better get this down before i forget it.

christmas eve: i didn't have to work. andrew worked a until about noon. i made cookies from the dough that i had in the fridge. we didn't really know what to do with ourselves so we had lunch and then played The Farming Game that andrew got for his birthday but haven't had the time to play it. it can a long game. i took a nap and hung out. we made our christmas dinner: ham, mashed potatoes, biscuits, cream corn made by andrew's dad and peanut butter kiss cookies for dessert. we watched A Christmas Story then read the nativity story, opened a gift and then off to bed. i prepared the sticky buns for in the morning. i woke up at about 2am to go to the bathroom. i was a little disappointed that it was only 2 in the morning.

christmas: i got up at about 7 and let andrew sleep until 8. i told him he couldn't sleep in anymore. we opened our gifts from each other and family. we got ready for the day and then went over to Brad and Evelyn's for breakfast and hung out there for the rest of the day. we played The Office triva game i got from andrew and mario kart on the wii. we watched Fred Claus and then came home. it snowed so much that it was a good thing that we had the jimmy with 4 wheel drive. even when we came home, most of the snow was still around.

we had a good christmas, though it would've been nice to be with my family in seattle. maybe next year. the next two days after christmas was spent "nesting." andrew and i went through the closet in the extra bedroom and got rid of a lot and now the only thing from the shower that's still in the trunk in the stroller. (which reminds me...thank you cards...) i think we're ready now. it's been a good vacation, but i think that i could get used to it being like this all the time. 15 more credits 15 more credits 15 more credits...........
