oh dddddear

early in july, i hit a deer. the grass on the side of airport road hadn't been cut yet (still hasn't) and there was a large bush on the side of the road. so, i am driving into town (4.30 in the afternoon), and this deer walks out on to the road from my right. with the above road conditions, there was no way to see it before it was in front of my car.

i don't know of any deer who survives a run in with a car, so i wasn't worried about the deer. i was way more worried about what andrew would say when he saw the car. since i was headed to the leishman's house, i stopped at stuarts to have andrew put the headlight back in. andrew used a paperclip to hold it back in and then banged on the hood so that it would hopefully close better. he did what he could and i went on with my dad.

andrew found a new hood for my car in pocatello, idaho. you can't tell at all it's a new hood. it matched the rest of the car really well. we also needed a new headlight holder. i can't think of the actual name for it. but you can see the old one in the picture below. it's the black plastic pieces on the ground.

while andrew's family was here, jay was able to help him replace the hood. now, unless you get close you can't tell that i hit a deer.

look at those handsome models in front of that beautiful car!
