sterling turns 6

we can't believe that sterling is turned 6! 

SIX!

this was extra special since it landed on a friday, just like 6 years ago.  the day started pretty normal. he woke up and came to cuddle. we wished him a happy birthday and then we had to get ready for the day. i sent a snack for his class with him- fruit snacks and cutie oranges. after school, he went to a friend's birthday party (she was born on the 15th) and getting off the bus several stops early. it was a long day for him. the girls and i just cleaned up the house and got everything ready for the party on saturday. 

his teacher gave him the hat and i had a "birthday boy" button for him to wear. for dinner he wanted to have hamburgers. i think this is his favorite dinner right now. we opened all the gifts family. he got lots of cool stuff.

2 big boxes of cereal- fruit loops and lucky charms

2 spiderman pictures of color and dumbo on blu ray

hex bug set 

the sneaky snacks squirrel game (like hi ho cherri-o)

money for his college account

quincey was really into the presents. she wanted to help him more than he wanted her to. i can see why my mom did sibling gifts when the kids were little. it is always fun to see what she puts together for an outfit. sometimes she will change, like she did on his birthday. she really likes this blue dress.

this game was actually really fun. quincey and sterling could pick up the acorns. i'm glad i asked my mom to get it for him. 

he was able to talk with both set of grandparents. he of course had to show grandma and grandpa all of his gifts! at the moment his favorite gift is the hex bugs. though he loves his cap guns too but they are in timeout at the moment.
