Elder T Hainsworth

the other week i knew that T's last weekend would be coming up soon. i didn't think that i would be able to go out to seattle, but a little over a week before his farewell party, i suddenly wanted to go! i knew it would have to be a quick trip, made even quicker because i was watching a friends boy all day friday. i asked andrew what he thought. he said that gas is pretty cheap right now so it was a good time to go if i wanted. i decided that i would go and i texted my mom to see what she thought. since it was just going to be carlee and i, they offered to fly us out! i left as soon as andrew got home on friday night. i got back in time to pick quincey up from school on tuesday.

i was really nervous for the flying part. i wasn't sure how carlee would do. the flight there wasn't completely full -thankfully- so we were able to get our own row!

i had enough things packed to keep her entertained but i only brought something new out once she was done with the current toy. even let he play with my water bottle for a long time. it wasn't a game i wanted to play but it kept her happy.

everyone was impressed with how well she did. i'm so thankful for her being good and the lady behind us that would play with her on occasion.

it seems like every time i fly to seattle i get there early! not like super early but usually my parents still haven't left the house. this was no exception. the carseat held them up this time. T and A came to get us.   i ended up having to check a bag so i had to get that too and i also went to the bathroom:

there was a "mom stall"! it was seriously awesome. why is this not down everywhere!? it had the toilet, sink, changing table and a kid seat on the door!

carlee watching traffic. it was "fun" watching the policeman telling people that they had to move since it was loading and unloading only. we had to wait about 25 mins for them. carlee fell asleep on the way to my parents house. no surprise as it was way past her bedtime. transfer from car to bed was hard for her. i ended up holding her until she fell into a deep sleep.

for saturday february 14th, T had some big plans. i wasn't sure everything he wanted to do would get done since my family sleeps in quite a bit.
breakfast at the original pancake house
bowling

ward temple night at 7

i woke up at 6 and carlee woke up about 7 i think. we got ready for the day and then went to eat breakfast because i didn't think that we could wait much longer. i saw A and my dad next. we ended up leaving about 10.45 for the pancake house. i think we waited at least an hour and half because we had such a big group! so breakfast turned into lunch.

after that we stopped by the temple for pictures.

spring is already here in bellevue. it was kind of nice to see the flowers out.

carlee napping in the car. i sat in the car for most of the time with her, hoping to get a nap myself.

after pictures, we headed back home. T went out with his friends and we thought he was going bouldering but a friend had hurt his wrist so they went bowling instead. we gave him a hard time out not inviting us when he got home. the rest of us just hung out at home getting ready for the party the next day.

carlee helped I practice her piano.

time to get a stand for that keyboard! my dad finally got those oil panting of the kids hung and a few other big pictures. it took him most of the night. i think my mom cleaned and prepped food. i made the hot fudge and caramel sauce.

sunday

per usual we were up and ready before everyone else. carlee had her favorite cereal, honey bunches of oats for breakfast.

i'm sad this one is blurry. i couldn't find the kids dishes that i was SURE my mom had. so we settled with a tupperware bowl and a teaspoon. or maybe this one was a tablespoon. my mom later found the dishes.

carlee liked to try and get everyones shoes on. here she is working on grandma's boot.

in the hustle and bustle of the party i totally forgot to feed carlee. see i was in charge of warming the crepes, so the girls were watching her. i did feed her a little bit. she sat on the floor and had a crepe, banana and strawberries.
then i realized it was late and she needs to get into bed! but she didn't want that either. that's when i figured out that she may be hungry! so back out to the kitchen to steal some of the spotlight from T and eat her favorite- bananas and honey bunches.

since she stayed up late on sunday she slept in on monday. like really slept in. i got her up about 8.50. we were going to go shopping with my aunt carma at 9, but it took her a little longer to get to my parents house. it worked out since carlee was just finishing up breakfast when she arrived. we visited for a bit and then went to bellevue square mall. i haven't been there or a mall like it in forever! we got some outfits for the kids. we came back to the house and did some more visiting.

we hung out at the house. T packed for his mission. the girls and i minus mom and carlee went to target to do a little shopping. we went to leave and A realized she had lost her wallet and the keys to the car! she was able to find them. we went to red robin and there was a 30 min wait so we drove to the one in bellevue. we ordered and ate in a hurry. the kids were disgusted by carlee's behavior. she was playing with her water and dipping her fries in it. sure it was gross, but she had already had dinner at home, so whatever was going to keep her happy!

after dinner we went to the stake center and T was set apart as a missionary. we then drove home. i knew that we were leaving the house early. like 7.30 early! so i put carlee to bed and i showered and got into bed myself. my dad gave T a father's blessing before everyone else went to bed.

tuesday
we all (except C and my dad) went to the airport in the morning. they said goodbye to us at security. carlee was NOT happy about having to get up off the floor and back into the stroller. they need a screaming baby line. the rest would hang out while they waited for T's and dad's flight to SLC.

the flight home was full. there was a nice lady who sat next to us. she didn't mind carlee too much and would play with her.

this time we sat next to to the propeller so that we had a nice vibration the whole time.

baby selfies!

carlee did well, though it would've been nice to have our own row again. it seemed to be over before i knew it and we came home to sunshine! it was a bit cold but nice out. we got in early so i was able to pick quincey up from school. carlee took a short nap on the way home but i was able to get it to take another one later in the afternoon. it was a good trip and i'm so glad i went. thanks mom and dad!

andrew took care of the kids on saturday and sunday. on monday, he took sterling to school and then quincey went to work with them for about 30 mins until it was time for her to go to school. she watched cartoons and played with the toy cars and the ride on car. after school: quincey was picked up by mary and then taken to kari's house to play with brooklyn. sterling went to the library with jason and mary to hang out until andrew picked him up. andrew picked quincey up on the way home.
tuesday morning was the same as monday and i was able to pick quincey up from school and sterling rode the bus home.
