conference weekend

well, we decided to go down to utah this past weekend. it happened to be conference weekend. andrew had a mission reunion in utah, but we weren't able to make it. he's never been to one because they are always at a bad time in the semester, which ends on thursday. andrew was busy at work so we didn't get out of here until about 7 pm. we drove for a while and sterling fell asleep. he woke up just before Pocatello. we stopped and i fed him, changed his diaper and clothes (blowout). once he was back in the car seat and we were back on the road, he complained about the situation... loudly. it started to snow and so andrew had to slow down for a while there we thought it was going to be a long trip. ok so it was. we didn't get into Erda until about 11.30 pm. we visited with jay and nancy until about 1. sterling was of course awake now from being taken out of the car and car seat. we got him to go back to sleep at about 1.30 am.

we got up kind of early... i woke up at about 4.30 am and could go back to sleep for a while because of the little boy and man who i was sleeping in between were snoring. sure sterling's snore is cute, but not when you just want to sleep. he got up a few hours later, but it was at a decent hour. we spent all of saturday with andrew's family. we watched conference, enjoyed each others company and they of course enjoyed passing sterling around. mandi was finally able to join us at about 9 that night. we again stayed up late and took silly pictures until sterling told everyone he had had enough. time for bed. once he was down we play scum and then finally decided to go to bed, which was good cause the power went out about 30 mins later. oh yeah, i gave sterling a bath saturday morning. we didn't bring his bathing chair with us and everyone was busy with something so i had to do it myself. i did lay him all the way down, but watched his face the whole time, i don't know how clean his body got. he did quite well.

we all got a good nights sleep and watched sunday morning conference with everyone, had lunch, took pictures and finally left for centerville. it took up forever to get out of there. (of course the same thing happens when were in centerville too) we made it in time for the prayer of sunday afternoon conference. everyone enjoyed holding sterling. he was a little cranky though you couldn't blame him. he may of had a good nights rest, but no good naps in two days. we had a wonderful dinner and headed for home. sterling complained once again for having to be in the car seat, but settled down and fell asleep about 7.30. we got home about 10 pm and sterling slept through the transfer to the crib and right on until 5.45 am monday morning!

i woke up hurting and leaking at 4.45 am. i pumped and went back to bed. i wasn't very happy to have sterling awake about 45 min after i went to bed but that's how it goes. i fed him went back to bed and he woke up again at 8.30am. ok this is normal, but i was still really tired.

i better go to bed since sterling is in bed.
