we went to IF yesturday to look for a new car seat for sterling. we ended up getting this one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Safety-1st-All-in-One-Convertible-Car-Seat-Salt-and-Pepper/10759861 . we haven't set it up in the car yet. so we'll see how that goes. he can stay rearfacing up to 35 lbs, forward facing til 50lbs and then it can become a booster til 80lbs.
when looking at them online on target's website, i told andrew that i wanted one the most expensive one they had. it was $369! he didn't believe me. the one we got was only $140.

gotta keep your kids safe! Ire keeps asking when she can give up the booster seat. the new rule is when they're 4'9", but Lij came out when she turned 9.
