sunny weekend

on friday, the 11, it had been raining for a few days and i think everyone was waiting for this weeked when the sun was suppose to come out. it did, friday afternoon. i was excited! andrew's uncle ken came over so that they could work on his chainsaw. he brought pizza, ice cream and pop for dinner. he came before andrew came home from work, so we visited while sterling played outside (in his third pair of pants and second shirt for the day). we had dinner then headed outside again to play or work, depending on who you are and how you view life. sterling played in the shop and even got to go for a ride on the go-cart and four wheeler. i watched sterling and the guys work. i went into the house and when i came back, sterling was on the white four wheeler. i asked ken and andrew if they had put him on there and they said they hadn't. wow! he climbed on himself! big boy. watching him get off was funny too. you see he was holding on to the wire that holds the cap for the gas, but he started to slide off the seat too fast. so what did he do? he stuck his teeth into the seat! don't worry, the only mark he left was drool. once we were done outside, we came in for ice cream. it was yummy. he sat around with ken at the table and had some good laughs. i love visiting with ken and jan.
what we found out today was that friday was ken's birthday! he didn't say anything to us (though i wouldn't have either)! that punk. jan had been invited out to dinner, so i can see why he didn't want to be home alone.

on saturday, another nice day, we went to polson to look at tables again. we finally got one at harbor light. it will be delivered at the end of the month, so you'll have to wait until then for pictures. it's small, but bigger than what we have now. it's maple and comes with one leaf and 4 chairs. we went ahead and bought 2 more chairs. i dropped sterling and andrew off at the park while i went to the store. i finally got sterling some rubber boots. he didn't like to walk in them at first, but once i put him in the puddle, he got the hang of it. we then got started on our yard, well after we had lunch.

i took a nap while sterling and andrew got started mowing. then once i woke up, i went out and used the new weed wacker. andrew said it was only like 10lbs, but when you hold it for a long time it get heavy. so i wacked and they mowed. i trimmed around the back trees, the clothes line and a little by the garden. i did by the cars and the cottonwood. then it started to get a little jerky so i turned it off and well it was almost out gas. andrew and a sleeping boy were still mowning so i went inside to get a start on dinner. tinfoil. while we waited for them to be done we raked up the grass in the back and put it around the starwberries. dinner was good and i think sterling ate as much as me. or it seemed that way. he loved the carrots. we, of course, had s'mores after. i pushed sterling in his swing while andrew finished up wacking. that was pretty much our day.

sunday we went to church and hung out around the house.
