my family decided to stop by and see us on their way to utah. they stayed for a day. sterling and i went with them to utah, leaving andrew home for a week by himself. these pictures were taken june 23rd and 24th.
reading books before bed. he still hadn't warmed up to them. it has been about 6 months since he has seen them.
the next day they wanted to go see flathead lake. so once everyone was up and ready we piled into the van. oh yeah, i should mention that i went outside with sterling, the girls and ollie (their dog) to put sterling's carset into the van. the girls are asking me a question, but i can't hear them very well, since i'm trying to unlatch sterling's seat. finally i pull my head out of the car.....yes. those are bears. my dad comes out of the basement and sees them. thankfully he did so that he could call ollie back. it was 10.30 in the morning. they were in the front yard, i think the girls said one was able to climb over the fence and the other ran along the fence and hedge, towards the back yard and jumped over the barb wire. i didn't get a good look at them, so i'm assuming that they could've been grizzlys. i also don't think they were cubs, because mother bear was not around, so they must have been teens or old enough to be on their own. what an exciting way to start a vacation and day!
we drove down main street and visited for a minute with andrew before heading up to polson. we stopped at burgerville (not the burgerville that they know though) for lunch. we ate at the park in polson that is on the lake and that you have to drive through golf course to get to (i can't remember the name).
my brother and my dad. i can't believe that my dad sat in the back seat. that is a first time i have seen him do that.
sterling enjoyed the merry go round. it made me a little sick just to watch it go round and round. once he was done riding it, he decided that he wanted to push it. he enjoyed the attention from everyone...once he warmed up to them.
my mom likes the above picture. there is sterling being himself and there are 3 (4 if you count my mom) taking his picture. i noticed that having babies, does change your hips. my mom said, well you are pregnant and standing next to your 10 yr old sister....
my mom, sterling and me.
throwing rocks into the lake.
me and my dad.
later that night, andrew took my family up to mission falls. they got stoppedy by a tribal cop on the way, but he only gave them a warning since it was their first time. and andrew had worked on his partners truck. i stayed home to clean up after dinner, get dessert ready and wait for alyssa to come over and get my temple clothes that she was going to borrow.
after dessert they went out, since it was still light out to have some fun.
sterling is going to show them how to ride the 4wheeler.
my dad and one of my sisters.
dad and my other sister. the youngest. she just turned 10 a few days before.
