the marks' wedding weekend

the day before we left to drive down for the wedding i painted quincey's toe nails. so we had matching nails, though i don't think anyone saw them but us. look, we have the same skin tone.

we drove down to utah on nov 1st. we drove to rexburg that thursday after andrew got off from work. we got into rexburg at about midnight. we stayed at a hotel because we weren't sure when we would get in and didn't want to bother anyone at that time. sterling went right back to sleep. quincey did not. she only slept about 4 hours at the hotel. so i got up and let her walk around in the halls. we didn't sleep well this weekend or didn't sleep much anyway.

so friday we visited with some friends in rexburg and then we drove the last 3.5 hours to salt lake. we stopped in centerville to drop some things off at my parents house. i busted my pinkie on the gate. so i spent that night with a sore finger.

the reception was at the granite tabernacle. below was pictures i took not too long after we got there. nobody was around when we showed up. so i tried to keep the kids happy while figuring out what to do until everyone showed up.

to the left of this table was the photo booth and to the right was the rest of the room.

the rest of the room. with the boys trying to look busy because they were in charge of food, but there was no one to tell them what to do. austin, did polish his shoes while he was waiting.

mandi and patrick's wedding was on a book theme, so above are some pictures of the mandi and patrick from their childhood plus some of their favorite books.

garrett caught in the act of sharing his doughnut with quincey. i don't think she minded. after all, she was hungry.

sample of the table center pieces.

here's where the food was to go. the kitchen was behind it and to the right was the table with drinks. hot chocolate, cider and water. mandi made her mom by water. if you are not used to utah's water, you know why she did this.

i gave mandi a hard time about her reception food. she has been trying (and i think doing a good job of it) to not eat sugar. soooo i was surprised by how much sugar she had. their was doughnuts, m&ms, doughnut holes, mini eclairs...and then the drinks. she said it was cheaper to have sugar than not.

some of their engagement pictures.
