mandi and patrick visit

april 18th: mandi and patrick came to visit during spring break. it was timed perfectly with the kids spring break. we met them at fairmont on friday afternoon. we both got there about the same time even! 

this is our second time this year and the kids still had a blast. they talked about going swimming all week!

all the swimmers. patrick took the photo. carlee enjoyed floating in the pool, but she also enjoyed being held and splashing. 

after dinner on friday we were going to let the kids go back to the pool, but then hey decided that they wanted to take a nap. since this is really what we wanted we jumped on the chance to get them in bed. it worked well. they were out by about 9.30pm. andrew had left with carlee to go swimming while i stayed with sterling and quincey. since they fell asleep so quickly they got up early, about 7.15am for quincey and sterling slept in a little bit. 

we were able to get swimming earlier this time. when 2pm rolled around i was ready to go home. sterling didn't want to leave and i don't think quincey did either. though i think she was tired. she didn't nap on friday. i told andrew that the next time we should stay two nights. then we could go rest in the afternoon and come back to swim. 

quincey enjoyed the slide and jumping off the side of the pool. 

it was nice to have mandi and patrick there to help with the kids. patrick enjoyed playing in the pool with carlee.

sterling enjoyed the slide (it's so nice that he can go by himself!), but sometimes we had to talk it up a bit so that he would go with us. he made a friend outside and so he spend a couple of hours out there with him on saturday shooting water guns. 

carlee hanging out. she has a normal diaper on since she just ate. i put on a swim diaper and we went down the slide. i knew andrew was out there with sterling so rather than walk outside, we'd go the fun way. we traded kids and carlee took a little nap:

i was getting ready to go home and the men decided to have a contest to see who was the loudest going down the slide. the winner was never decided, but they did attract a lot of attention from other swimmers. 

we left saturday afternoon. we got about 10mins down the road when i started looking for quincey's clothie. sure enough, she left it in the arcade! mandi and patrick had left all ready, so we turned around and pick it up. andrew wanted to cut her off cold turkey right then! but she had to take a nap on the way home and we weren't sure how that would go without clothie. 

when we got home we started dying eggs. patrick hadn't done this before, so i had everything ready to go. mandi and patrick died eggs with the kids while i unpacked and i think andrew started dinner.

april 20: Happy Easter!

the next couple of pictures are from February. you see, i bought these easter dresses on sale last year. i didn't think i would ever have a chunky baby! so in order for carlee to be able to wear hers i had to bring them out early. it's a little tight around the chest on her because she has to have a shirt under it. so we took pictures of carlee and quincey after church just in case they never got to wear them together again...

after church carlee is like the rest of us. ready to eat and nap!

so these are the dresses that they wore on easter sunday. still a little tight on carlee. chunkers. 

quincey and carlee went down for a nap and we got our food ready. we headed over to the leishman's house for an egg hunt and dinner.

mandi and patrick went on a four wheeler ride when we got home. qiuncey heard them come home and had to go for a little spin around the yard. 

april 21: we went up to flathead lake. andrew went to work this day, so we went up to the park. we played on the playground, threw rocks in the lake, saw a bald eagle and both kids had to pee. the bathrooms are locked during the "off" season so sterling took care of it himself, but quincey needed some help. thankfully i was able to hold her in a sitting position and she was able to pee. 

that evening they went up to the dam. sterling was suppose to go with them, but decided to stay home. he did want to go up, so carlee was napping and with the salted caramel brownies in the oven i drove him up. he didn't want to stay! so we hurried home because the brownies needed to be checked and carlee needed to get up from her nap. 

they went to the lower falls. finally mandi mentioned to andrew that it was a school night and didn't quincey need to get in bed? he said "well i didn't get a call or text from nicole…" i just figured that he could deal with a tired girl in the morning if he wanted to keep it out. 

like everyone else in the family, patrick rode the pocket rocket!

they left tues afternoon for missoula. they stayed there that night and then went home on wed.
