good ol days

this was the first year since we've moved here that we didn't have family here during good ol days. it was kind of nice. 

friday night was the bbq and dessert contest. i made huckleberry ice cream and won third place. we stayed for the fireworks. we figured this is why we over pay for our hamburgers….they have to pay for the awesome firework display!  

mrs. montana, alyssa schock past on her crown that night too. cindy is from missoula. everyone wanted to see her and get a picture with her. quincey got a little lost in the crowd but they all left and then she got her turn: 

the last time i checked this was cindy's profile picture on Facebook.

on saturday, we had the parade and lawnmower races. 

the kids waiting of the parade to start. i thought sterling's cast might get him more candy, if it did other kids got it. it just slowed him down in getting it. that's ok with me though.

presenting stuart's NAPA:

they won second place in the business category.

andrew and jp drove the truck. in the back are quincey and jp's 3 girls. also jamie, who works part time cleaning the shop.

next is the first place for a business:

lawn mower races got moved to 2pm so we hung out at mary's house until it was time. they had some good runs on all of them, but then it came time to preform and they started having problems.

andrew's was the only one that was working...

then they got another one going, so jp drove it to race with andrew….

then just as andrew lapped jp, his belt came off. paige and willy got his mower going and paige drove it.

above: paige "forgot" that this is a race and not a demolition derby and ran into jp. below: andrew is officially done. his belt wouldn't stay on.
