grandpa glen came to visit us, again. he had just gotten home from the hainsworth family reunion out east. he wanted to come out and see us. i thought he would call and let me know when he was coming…and he did. just before he left to come. we were trying to get ready for church and running a little late, so i didn't answer his call or my moms. she sent me a text, which i said it was fine for him to come, more warning would've been nice.
he arrived late on sunday, which was odd since we know when he left and how long it takes to get here from seattle. then factor in stops and him doing any scenic stops…turns out he got turned around and didn't have a map (WHAT?!?!) all because he didn't get gas before he left.
aug 11:
quincey loved to cuddle with him. i don't think he minded too much either. we didn't do too much on monday. we just hung out and i think the kids wore him out. he was going to stay for a couple of days, but then decided to go visit one of his other grandchildren on his way home. i made him call monday night, which turned out good since only one person was home and the rest were going to be home wed.
they were both sitting on his lap, so i took a moment to take a few pictures. we called him grandpa glen since great grandpa is a mouth full and i call him grandpa.
aug 12:
since it was going to be a short drive to his next stop, we went to the playground that morning. i tried to delay him as much as i could.
grandpa is going to be 88 later this week. i think he enjoyed playing with the kids and pushing them on the swings.
