on sept 5th we woke up to sterling's last day of school of his first week in kindergarten and quincey's 3rd birthday! once we got the boys out the door, we cleaned up the kitchen a little and we started making her cake.
we made dirt cake again this year. quincey enjoyed helping make the pudding and crushing the cookies. she also liked putting the worms and frogs on top.
we invited a few families that are in her nursery class, but we ended up with just having the leishman's over. they come over to play and help eat the cake. we put clothes on her before her party, but when we looked outside as the leishman's arrived. there she was in her undies again! at least she had that on!
she almost got all the candles out by herself. i forgot to make a separate bowl of cake for her. i did last year so we wouldn't have to worry about spit on the cake. anyway, sterling helped her get her last candle out.
carlee enjoyed the cake too.
we had her open her gifts before everyone ran off to play again.
this horse is minims from sofia the first. she doesn't know what that is, but she does love the horse.

it's hard to direct which gift to open and take pictures at the same time. here are her cowgirl boots that she picked out. she got these instead of the my little pony and ariel legos that she also picked out. when asked if she wanted toys or boots. she picked boots!
she also got the bracelets that she is wearing in the above picture and B is wearing in the picture before. a new swimming suit. it's a 4, but should fit her well next year. she also got some pjs and a cute shirt and pants.
