ward campout

on friday afternoon, june 26 we had the ward campout...but it was pouring. we decided that we would go and if it looked like it would rain more or was raining that it wasn't that far so we could come home. it was at wright creek campground, which is church owned. we got there a little late since andrew had to work til 6. we put our dinner in the fire (steak and potatoes). andrew set up our camp site and got the rubarb crisp going.

here's sterling. he's had his dinner and enjoying the band. dinner was good. in the background you can see mike and mallory. mallory watched sterling while lyida was in utah.

we have a little bit of room on either side of the mattress in our tent. so i put down a blanket and put him there. he had a long sleeved oneise, footed pj's (without the footed part), his camo lined pants over the pjs, socks, shoes and two hats on. his face still got cold. he woke up 3 times.

good morning. andrew loved how sterling's hair looked with the sun shining on it.

here's our campground, as seen from above. out tent was above and a little to the left of the "blue" car. the pop up camper in the foreground is what bishop and his family slept in.

don't worry, andrew carried sterling up and down. our ward doctor aka bishop packer was close by in case anything happened.
