so sterling, i believe has his 1st cold. his only symptom of it so far is a runny nose. it started yesturday afternoon when he sneezed and i actually had to wipe his nose. i don't know if this conneted to anything else or not. but he and we, by default, did not sleep well last night. i got some sleep. i think it was about 5 this morning when i did not want to get out of bed, though i knew i needed to since sterling was once again up and crying. andrew brought him in. i nursed him in bed and once he was asleep, on my side of the bed. i could go back to sleep. except that he was breathing loudly-in a sick, flem rattling kind of way. i don't know how to describe it. so i went and slept in the bunk beds until andrew got up about 7. i just opened my eyes and went back to sleep. i didn't get out of bed until just before 8 when sterling got up.
so he's taking a nap. i've had lunch and the bathroom can wait. i'm taking a nap!

It's no fun when babies have colds! There are a couple of things I can't live without when Nathan has a cold. If you look down the isle with all the lotions and bath washes in the baby isle at Walmart you can find a vapor bath that helps clear their nose and they even make a baby chest rub (the rub is for 3 months and up). I'm not sure if Walmart sells it, they probably do, I just haven't had to actually buy any (It would probably be in the pharmacy stuff). We had it given to us. Then of course there is the good old 1-2 drops of saline solution into each nostril followed by a good old suction from a bulb aspirator (or as I call it, the booger ball!). I hope Sterling feels better soon!
