mold

grandpa and gail are coming to visit next week. we're looking forward to them coming, but i don't want them to be cold. so i went down to the basement and got out the down comforter. i knew that it had been in storage for awhile. what moisture! yep, that would be mold. great. so i took it outside and went inside to research if i could save the comforter or the cover.

here is the cover that had gotten some rust on it from the zipper. i figured that i would at least try save them, if not it wasn't a big deal.

since it was nice out, i put them on the clothes line. i told andrew that we didn't have to keep them, but that would mean we would have to replace them. he said that was fine. i did end up washing the cover, but got rid of the comforter.
