on may 21, we had our stake temple day. it was also the day that our neighbor's daughter was getting married. we decided to go, since we hadn't been since november when mandi went through the temple for the first time. we were able to get into the early session and we were going to leave sterling at the stake center. well, the sunday before, they stressed that there would be NO babysitting. great. now what were we going to do?
we decided that one of us would try and do something and then the other would go to the session. thankfully there was a ward member who has a house that is about half way between us and spokane valley. we we stayed there friday night and then drove to the temple early saturday morning. i did intitories while andrew and sterling went to go find some breakfast for sterling. i got out just in time for andrew to hurry into the session. sterling and i then went to garage sales. we got some books, clothes and the best find: an ice cream maker that is just like ours. it was missing the metal bowl, but it WORKED!
once andrew was done with his session, we got him some lunch and then drove home. we were late to luke and julie's wedding, but that's ok. we were able to sit in the shade of their barn and he able to entertain sterling without disturbing too many people.
