it's hard to believe that quincey is 6 months old! she had her check up last week. she is growing just fine. i can't find her sheet with her stats on it, so you'll have to wait for those.
quincey has moved into sterling's room. she hasn't woken him up with her crying until last night. for some reason she didn't sleep well last night. we think that her teeth are bothering her.
quincey is normally a very happy girl. she doesn't fuss much unless something is uncomfortable...like when sterling hurts her, she fell over or she rolls over a toy. she handles sterling "love" pretty well. things that we think would hurt her don't seem to bother her. by not bother, i mean she doesn't cry.
she enjoys talking and blowing raspberries (video to come). if fact, she doesn't drool like sterling did. she soaks the front of her shirt by blowing raspberries!
here you can see the difference between the top of her head and the back of her head.
quincey rolls, army crawls (she does get up on all fours, but has yet to move while in that position) or turns on her stomach to reach what she wants. she moves best when no one is watching her. if i want her to show off her army crawl, i will put some paper in front of her. that is her favorite "forbidden" object. if she didn't eat it, i would let her play with much longer. once the paper starts coming apart, i take it away.
she likes it when dad will share his dinner with her. she has tried: tomato soup, mashed potatoes, rice cereal with breast milk, bananas, sweet potatoes(not a big fan), cream of wheat and ice cream so far. she only has been getting solid food at dinner time. i haven't been very consistent with it. because, to be honest, it's easier to nurse her. and sometimes it seemed like she wasn't all that into it...so it's been a little while since she has had her baby food. she also has breast milk to drink during her meals. i put it in a sippy cup, but that seemed to come out too fast for her. so i have been putting it in a bottle and she loves it! i have to pull it out of her mouth so that she won't fill up on it.
she is growing up fast. but i guess it seems fast to us, though it may not to her.
