are a favorite of andrew's. we got together with beau (andrew's cousin) and emmaly (who is due in jan) and went to see if we could find some. emmaly had two days off from work, so tues the 18th we went out towards warm river. above is what huckleberries look like on the bush. not the red flower, though it looked nice.

i only included this picture because sterling has shorts on. it was chilly once we got there, so i put on these
notsox that i had just gotten in the mail the week before from
babysteals. they have cars on them!

we picked a while in front of where we parked and i just held sterling. we weren't sure how many we would get, so i didn't want to get the back pack out if we weren't going to be there long. sterling is waiting for dad to put on the back pack and go pick across the road.

it must taste good. anything that touches sterling's mouth is either going to be bitten or lick or sucked on. here you can see we don't have that many, yet.

here's my favorite picture that i took. isn't he handsome? i did help pick by the way, just not as much as everyone else. we got quite a bit from by the road. since people don't go there.
the next night we go together again and made ice cream. huckleberry ice cream. we put them in whole so it was like eating them frozen with vanilla ice cream. it was actually really good. i 'm not a huge fan of huckleberries. andrew and beau ate most of the ice cream. we played a card game called hand and foot while we waited for the ice cream to be made. the girls won once again.
