montana

since the month of aug is usually a slow month at andrew's work, we decided to up to montana. andrew's dad had just been up there and told us that one of the shops was looking to replace one of their techs. i thought about staying home with sterling, but that just made the weekend seem even longer. so sterling and i joined him. also since we just moved into a new place, we would like to get rid of our storage unit. so we took the old 4wheeler and our washer/dryer up there.

sterling lasted about 2 hours before he wanted to get out of his carseat. so we stopped in dell, mt.

we stopped again in rocker, mt to get gas and have a potty break. here sterling is getting his diaper changed. he ended up sleeping most of the way. we got to st. ignatius at about 1am. sterling who was asleep, woke up and didn't go back to sleep until 1.30-2. he even had his won air matteress to sleep on.

here we are bright and early saturday morning. the sun was coming in through the big windows.

andrew, moving in the washer/dryer. he borrowed the dolly and ramps from some friends. it didn't take him too long to get them unloaded and into the basement.

sterling and i sat by the basement door and watched andrew work. sterling played while i took pictures and kept the daddy long legs off sterling. i missed one and found it on his bib. we enjoyed being outside. we love his picture of sterling...check out those teeth!

sterling is showing off how he can stand up, while holding on to things. and how he likes to let go. not only can he put up from a sitting position to his knees but also pull himself up to his feet.

getting ready to go for a quick dip. since i was putting sunscreen on him and i knew that he wouldn't keep his hat on, so i put it on his head as well. so i spiked it-grandpa style. i love the look on his face.

i thought the water was cold, but it didn't bother sterling much.

his first 4 wheeler ride. we didn't go very fast, but i wanted a picture of him while we driving. andrew drove and i held on to sterling. cute huh?

when we travel, we often leave on sunday, but this time andrew took monday off. on sunday evening we didn't have anything to do. we didn't think about entertainment at all since we would normally be driving. this was our entertainment: andrew wearing sterling clothing.

this isn't the best picture, but i liked how the sunlight was coming in the window and was hitting his eyelashes.
