andrew's birthday

HAPPY 26TH BIRTHDAY ANDREW!!!!!!!!!
on september 9, 2009, yes 9/9/09, andrew became one year older. he is now offically closer to 30 than 20.
these sweet little things are cookies and cream cheesecakes, as called by martha stewart or oreo cheesecake, as called by me. i made them on the 8th. i could have filled them a little more, but it was ok because it made them easier to get out of the muffin tin. i had like 3 on the 8th. the rest are in the freezer because we have other things that need to be eaten. i thought they turned out well, though it's been a while since i've had any cheesecake so.....

here are cupcakes that i made...on monday and frosted on the 9th to take into work. they had a party at lunch time. i made a batch of buttercream frosting and colored a quarter of it yellow and a quarter orange. then i used the half that was white to make the marbled look.

i made hot fudge on the 9th as well. to heat it up that night on our gas stove had me concerned. i didn't want to burn it like i almost did earlier, so i made my own double boiler. it wasn't very stable but it got the job done, quite well.
sterling on the morning of the 9th. i was working trying to get it all done so i didn't have to worry about it and get the cupcake to andrew's work on time. i even stopped and fed him once. when i finished, he wasn't very happy but took a nap.
sweet! the office season 3. now we can add it into our rotation of repeats. (we're excited for it to start on the 17th! have you seen the sneak peek?)

sterling watching the gifts be opened.

opening the heavy box of jeans...i put some of sterling's books in it so that he wouldn't be able to guess what it was. he also got cotton church socks, atv cover, the rocker, a candy bar (sterling)3 pictures of me (my parents) and a new tire for the honda 4wheeler (his parents). i think a few more things, but i can't think of them.

we had a party on the 9th for him. brad, evelyn, susie, beau, nick and 2 of his kids, hailey and nathan, came. nick had just brought home his son, quintin, from the hospital so i was a little surprised that he came. but i think his kids enjoyed themselves. nathan called brad grandpa. brad didn't seem to mind, i don't think. our camera was delayed in taking the picture for some reason, so this was all i got. it's andrew's cake: chocolate chip cookies, crumbed with cookie dough ice cream. we had the cheesecakes and of course hot fudge for the cake.
