last night was rough. sterling would not stay asleep, so i didn't either. it made me wonder about all the things i could be getting done if i just stayed awake all the time. if i would live on just a few hours sleep. if only...
sterling went to bed at about 10 (it's hard to remember for sure). woke up at 12.30, then again at 2.30. i didn't get back to sleep until 3 (stupid dog barking. i told andrew if we have a dog it better be one that doesn't bark a lot). sterling got up again at 3.30 and at 6.20. i fed him and brought him back to bed, knowing that he would sleep just fine there. he did, until 8.40 when he woke up. we're not quite sure what his problem is. it sure makes for a long long night.

I remember those so, so long nights! Made for long days, too, until you can get back in bed to try again!
