december in pictures

in december, quincey turned 3 months. in changing out her clothes from 0-3 months to 3-6 months, i found these pants. actually they are "pedal pushers". they have cute little fish on them. i liked how chunky her legs are in them.

some people read to their kids to get them to sit a long time on the potty. some people paint their daughter's nails. we just put it in the living room. this worked quite well. sterling learned to go by himself and i didn't feel like i was babysitting him all day. he now knows to go to the bathroom, so i leave the light on for him. he can turn on the light, but he need his stool and that takes time in which he could have an accident. so far, he normally only has one or two accidents a day.

cute little girl. doesn't she look so tiny? i think this picture is actually from the end of november.

i took this picture because she fell asleep on the floor but also because of the outfit. i liked this outfit, but because it has stuffing (yes, it does) between the fabric, it looks really big.

sterling is nursing his baby. he wouldn't hold still long enough for andrew to get a good picture. yes, i'm also feeding quincey. sterling is starting to help out more with quincey. he will unfold the diaper and put it under her bottom, play with her, steamroll her, lay on the floor and cry with her.

quincey hanging out with dad while he talks with his family...well, it's most likely his dad. but i can't remember for sure.

i DO remember this night. it was the night of the ward christmas party. and by the time andrew got home i just wanted to send him with the kids. whew! it wasn't a bad day, it just went south really fast right as we were getting ready for the party, which started at 6. sterling was unset about something and i was most likely feeding quincey, so he had to wait. wait is not what he wanted so he cleaned off the baker's rack. dumped the laundry out, emptied the address box etc. i think i got most of it cleaned up by the time andrew got home from work. which meant that we were not ready to go when he got home. we made it to the ward party, but  we were a little late. and amazingly there where a lot of people there! the food was pretty much gone when we got to it.

here is the angel that sterling broke. i put it on the baker's rack so it wouldn't break it during his tree tipping's. it got pretty upset with him about it. my grandma betty painted this for me in 1991. andrew got some super glue and i put it back together.

i put quincey on the floor so i could get PW's brownies out of the oven and clean up, anyway, she fell asleep. sterling decided to lay down next to her.

sterling in quincey's bumbo.

quincey in her bumbo. my mom sent these shoes for her. they have reindeer on them. if you press on of them, it will sing "rudolf the red nose reindeer".

sterling in time out. he normally stays in his seat and if he doesn't, i put him back on his chair. he mostly gets in time out for hitting. or being mean to quincey. (it's hard being the oldest)

naptime. this happens every couple of days. i try and keep him up so that he will go to bed early and with out a lot of difficultly.

my aunt sent me this shopping cart over. sterling had fun playing with it for a few days.

this is after christmas. he got a cars bubble kit. as you can see we had snow so i told him he could blow bubbles at the table.

Man, your kids sure are growing up fast! Clever way to get Sterling to sit on the potty. And it sounds like it worked! Also, I love that Quincey falls asleep when you lay her down. I'm sure that's so nice! Fun to see so many pictures.
