first steps

we were all outside this evening playing in the water because it is sooo hot. andrew was washing the windows. sterling was playing with the hose and  i was trying to keep quincey from getting sprayed  soaked by sterling. on the front sidewalk, i stood behind quincey and stood her on feet. she leaned forward and i counted 3 steps. maybe it was 2, but all the same. we tried a few more times. i tried to get andrew to watch, but i may have been blocking his view. he did see her take a step by herself though. then he went back to work.
