lake fun

on july 7th we went to the lake again. this was quincey's 3rd time out on the boat. it seems like each time she does better with lifejacket. 

quincey does look really cute in her pigtails, but i am thinking of cutting her hair. like pixie short. she doesn't like to sit still while it do her hair, so with it short i can quickly put a clip in and we can be done. we'll see come this fall what we do. you can see sterling's head at the bottom this picture. which leads nicely into the next one...

sterling likes to have his picture taken. you can see he wanted to be in the picture above. quincey is having a turn on the tube. sterling had his turn and then it was quincey's turn. sterling kept saying "my turn" over and over. we told him that it was now quincey's and when she was done he could have another turn. 

sterling's turn on the tube with dad. sterling likes his new lifejacket. i think that he will be in that one for a few years. when sterling rides in the tube, his legs can get stuck under the actual tube. so we have to be extra careful pulling him to make sure they don't tip. we don't know what he would do if he did get tipped over. hopefully next year we can put him in swim lessons and he will be more comfortable in the water.
