she is a pretty cute girl. it looks like she could use another hair cut though. i took cookies into her class for birthday. she is one of the youngest in her class. which makes sense, she was born 5 days before the cut off for school. so most of her classmates are already 2 years old.
i had to include the picture of above because even though it's not on focus, they both have the same expression on their face-a nice big grin. the one below is just cute.
that evening we had a little family party for her. we had waffles (and i'm sure some other things) for dinner. then we opened the only gift that she actually had, but that seemed to be ok with her!
this was what nana and papa gave her. sterling was more than willing to help and show her how to open her gift.
she loved her baby and carried it around with her. i think it's even been to church. in the above picture she is talking about her baby has a hat on.
then we had cake. since we were going to be celebrating andrew's birthday in a few days, we weren't sure what to do for cake for quincey's birthday. nancy suggested dirt cake. we thought that was something that she would like. she and sterling both enjoyed it. A LOT!
sterling also blew her candles out the first time, so we lit them again so that she could try. i think either andrew or sterling helped her out. i made her own bowl of dirt cake because we all know how much little kids can spit when they blow. she can blow, but she wouldn't get close enough to blow the candles out. she was able to move her bangs!
CAKE!
she did have a little trouble with the gummy worms. we had to cut them up for her. if you look in the above picture you can see where she cut her dress with the scissors that she found. i fixed the holes she made, but doesn't look as it did before. oh well.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUINCEY!
all of quincey's gifts that we ordered for her came on the 6th. of course! i got them wrapped and then we opened them on sunday the 8th. sterling, of course, was a big help. which one to open first.....
above are the dishes for her kitchen. below is some of her food. cheese, yogurt, lunch meat etc.
she also got some pantry items and some veggies.
her kitchen still isn't done. it's a lot of painting since andrew wanted to use a brush. i thought he would use the sprayer, but he didn't want to clean it. hopefully they will like playing with it!
