progress

i had my check up yesterday. i am 36 weeks today, which meant that my dr checked me yesterday. i was hoping that she wouldn't. it's nice not having to undress for my appts. well, it's a good thing she did, i guess. what she found out:

i'm 3 cm, 80% and +1.


so for those that don't know what that means....

i'm dilated 3cm out of 10. which is part of early labor. i could be like this for a few days or even a few weeks. i'm hoping for weeks here. i'm not sure i want another september birthday. she also said that it's a hard 3cm. so you could also say that i'm barely 3cm. it's once i get to a soft 3cm that things will start progressing more.

80%: well that's out of 100. that's how thinned out i am.

these don't worry me. my dr doesn't think i will go into labor this week. the number that i don't like is the last one.

+1. that has to do with the station (how far down the baby is in my pelvis) of the baby. it's also out of 11 (if you count 0 as a number). each number is a centimeter. it starts at -5 and goes to +5. +5 means that the baby is crowning....see how this can be a little worrisome? also why i'm so uncomfortable sitting and bending over.
