this weekend was general conference. i was looking forward to it, but not looking forward to having to go to the church with sterling like we had to do in april. we ended up just listening to on the internet saturday. then we went to the church this morning and listening to the afternoon session at home.
being at church with sterling wasn't too bad. it was kind of like every other sunday. after about an hour i took him for a walk and he wanted to go down to nursery. he didn't even start to make worried noises! it was fun to watch him in nursery. he tried to open the door and then he would open the closet that had all toys (after i opened the big closet doors for him). he played with some toys and then he wanted a chair. so i got one down for him. he pushed it around and then he pushed it up to the table and sat down. he looked at me like "come on mom. don't you know what i'm waiting for???" i had only two ideas why. i mentioned snack, but that didn't get him to move. so i brought out the crayons and paper and he drew a picture. then once he was done with that, we went and got a snack from dad. good thing because he needed a poke in the arm, if you know what i mean. then he ate a little snack and played until about 10 mins were left of church. we cleaned up and headed back to the chapel to wake up dad and get ready for conference to get done.
so saturday morning, andrew wanted to go fishing but since it was conference weekend...he knew that unless it got up early he wouldn't be able to go to the lake and make it back for conference at 10. so he went to mission dam and was only gone about 30 mins before he was back with this:
no, sterling didn't go with him. but sure does seem interested in it. it's a 22 inch cutthroat/rainbow hybrid. this was taken at about 9am. you can see how wet our lawn is. sterling got pretty wet running around. he also to grassy since they had cut the grass the night before.
