different day

it was a different day today...well i guess yesturday now. sterling got up at 6.15am. he did go back to sleep for 2 hours and so did i. so if you don't count that, then he only got about an hour of nap time, in the car. he would got to sleep and it was getting closer and closer to the time we would have to leave to make it to our WIC appt on time. so a little before 1pm i put him in the car and headed to town. he fell asleep. i got him out of the car about 1.40 to go in a wait for our appt at 2. the door is locked....there is a sign that says on tues 10/19/2009 WIC will take lunch from 1-2. WHAT!!!!!!! sterling was awake and i had to wait to get in. they normally have lunch from 12-1 and i try not to get appts at 1 because i like to early to my appt and they don't open the door until 1. so i quickly get sterling back in the car, hoping i can get him back to sleep for a little longer...no such luck.

we stop by megan and owen's to talk with her about sewing some curtains. we stayed longer than i expected and sterling slept on the way home, which from that side of town is like 15 mins. so i wasn't all that surprised when he nursed at 7.30 and started to fall asleep. i tried to wake him up. no use. it was out. i would sit him up and he would just slump over asleep. so i put him in bed and i went to bed at 8.30 knowing that sterling could be up soon and i better get some sleep.

he woke up at 10.30ish and i got him back to sleep. now i can't go back to sleep. i tried covering the clock, getting a drink and going to bathroom, my breathing trick, cuddling- nothing. maybe it was the noise from the other side of the bed. i normally don't hear andrew because i'm too tried and fall asleep quickly. not tonight.

sterling normally gets up between 7.30 and 8 am. maybe some honey nut cheerios will help.
