friday night we went over to beau and emmaly's for dinner and to help them carve their pumpkin. they had their ward's halloween party that night. we decided that we would go, since we were in town and had nothing else going on. it was fun to see people we hadn't seen in a while and visit with them.

beau and andrew working to get the pumpkin carved before the party.

saturday morning we had this for breakfast. you may know them as german pancakes or hootenanny pancakes or in andrew's family they called it peterson puff. it was good and you could tell there were 9 eggs in it. we hung out for most of the day. i went to a baby shower, andrew watched sterling.

on the way to the ward trunk or treat. you can see sterling's not very happy about it. he didn't do so well at the party friday night so we weren't sure how it would go. he also desperately needed a nap since he only slept for 30 mins earlier in the day. i was hoping that if he woke up (he fell asleep right before we left) we would go back to sleep in the car. no such luck.

getting set up in the church parking lot. sterling's not very happy about having to be in his coat. it's a little big for him since i didn't want to have to buy him another one half way through the winter.

i carried sterling around just in his coat and then we put him in his costume and went around again with his bucket. he did well. didn't cry until close to the end. then i just told andrew, you're almost out of candy, people are leaving and sterling needs to get home now. cute isn't he?

trina showed up with their little girl and took this picture for us. people loved andrew's idea and some of the kids were a little scared of him. andrew noticed that if the children had a hard time deciding what candy to pick out, the dad's would pick twix. the mom's picked whatever.

on the way home from all the fun. he couldn't wait to get into the candy.

the bucket is from beau and emmaly. inside is all the candy that sterling got. of course we'll have to help him eat it.

So, I think my mom got rid of the recipe for Peterson Puff. Could you email it to me?
